A few weeks ago, I had the best time of photographing Kaitlin’s {surprise!} bridal shower at the Upper Montclair Country Club. Her amazingly talented mother planned and executed this gorgeous garden party affair with, of course, the help and hard work of Kaitlin’s bridesmaids and besties. The entire shower, except the date, was a surprise to Kaitlin. After talking to her mom in the weeks leading up to the big day, I knew the shower was going to be beautiful, but I had NO IDEA it was going to be this gorgeous.

Kaitlin’s mom, Julie thought of every. single. detail, including a DIY flower bar which doubled as guest favors, the most gorgeous blush and ivory color palette and table centerpieces and a perfectly executed dessert table that puts Pinterest to shame. Julie is undoubtably talented, but she knew when to call in for help and put together an amazing team of wedding professionals! I love how she used a different vendor for each of the different types of sweets on the dessert table. The blush and ivory color palette was a dream and Laurel Wood Designs did an incredible job on the table centerpieces.

Kaitlin looked gorgeous, of course. It helped that celebrity make up artist, Nikki Kasak did her flawless make up. Nikki and I also worked together on Adrienne’s baby shower and this Real Housewives of New Jersey charity event with Dolores Catania.

A highlight of the day was when Kaitlin’s Dad gifted her a beautiful pair of Christian Louboutin Shoes to wear on her wedding day.

How amazing is this DIY flower bar?! And it doubles as favors for the guests to take home!

I am in love with this blush and ivory color palette- a classic that will never get old! And the lighting inside the tent was incredible!

Bridal Shower Cake Pops / French Macarons Cake Topper

The best part of the day was not all of the beauty in the details, but in experiencing the amount of love that was poured into the shower, through thoughtfulness, creativity and hard work. It is clear that Kaitlin has amazing and genuine relationships with her family and friends and that they all have the biggest hearts of gold. The icing on the cake was when her mom, Julie took time out of hosting to make sure I got something to eat and then offered me a chair at her table.

Kaitlin, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your special day. I laughed at the lighthearted parts of the day and I cried when you read the letter from your dad. I’m so grateful to get to tell the story of this beautiful day!
