Indian Trail Club Wedding

Whenever an Indian Trail Club wedding comes across my inbox I get so excited and this was no exception!

Chrissy and Ryan have a LOT in common! They are both writers, hockey fans, lovers of the water, Disney, Harry Potter, comic books…All books, really. So its no surprise they were on the same page when it came to their Retro inspired lakeside elegance wedding.

They incorporated the best retro inspired details into their day including a vintage surfboard guestbook and vintage Volkswagon Bus that’s really a Photo Booth!

Chrissy described the vision for their wedding as “Lakeside Elegance” and “A 1950’s Beach Read”, which is actually perfect because they are both writers and Chrissy is even a published author of (according to Ryan), “two incredible, critically-acclaimed books in poetry and short fiction that I absolutely love!”

From Chrissy: “Funnily enough, we grew up seven blocks away from each other — Ryan is from Oradell, New Jersey, and I’m from River Edge, the next town over — but we only met for the first time in 2016. We should have met a lot earlier, given the circumstances. We went to the same high school (River Dell) and were interested in the same things (creative writing). Even my running route took me by his childhood home nearly every day. Ultimately, it took me coming back home from Minnesota (where I went to grad school) to eventually find, as Ryan refers to it as, “my sweetheart that went to my high school.”

As fate would have it, they ultimately met online. Chrissy puts it better than I would- “We met through a mutual friend: the internet!”
