Spring Lake Golf Club Wedding

Iconic. Enchanting. Romantic. Nostalgic. Dreamy. These are a few words that describe Nick and Nicole’s late summer wedding night. First, they were married in a Greek Orthodox ceremony complete with crowns, chanting and dancing before heading to Spring Lake Golf Club for the big affair. Nicole looked unbelievably stunning in her Mira Zwillinger wedding dress. Guests danced the night away to music by Element, an NYC band under the twinkling lights of the tent. It was such a lovely way to spend an August night.

Take Better Photos : Mastering Natural Light

Today we are talking about one of my favorite topics, shooting outside in natural light. When I was first learning photography, almost 9 years ago, now, I was so excited to learn how to get those glow-y outdoor photos. And honestly, I thought it would be pretty easy. I mean, shooting outside means there is plenty of light to leverage, so how hard can it be? Ha, little did I know that outdoor sessions can actually be more challenging than learning photography indoors where the light is constant. So, today we are going to talk about learning to shoot in natural light settings and the best time of day to take photos . I will teach you what types of lighting scenarios to avoid and I will be sharing tips about how to shoot outdoor portraits in times that are not ideal, like the middle of the day as well as in challenging lighting situations such as direct sunlight.

June Madison Hotel Wedding Photos

Jen & Patrick chose my favorite NJ wedding venue for their wedding day, The Madison Hotel in Morristown, New Jersey. The wedding ceremony was held in the stunning conservatory while their wedding reception was held in the grand ballroom. It was a nice change because I have never shot in the ballroom before. It was a really beautiful wedding and such an elegant affair! Patrick is actually a football coach in the NFL. Since he works for the Atlanta Falcons, they live in Georgia and had to plan their wedding from afar. So, they enlisted the help of their wedding planner, Joy from The Wedding Plan and Company to help them with the planning process and to execute their big day.
